I follow you’re blog daily, and I would just like to comment that I appreciate your ability to make very interesting pictures of the ordinary. This picture is a prime example. From the expression on Kate’s face to the abundance of odd angles, this picture keeps my interest throughout. Thanks for sharing.
A technical question about this one - it has the same look as my most recent attempt at processing and scanning HP5 … i.e. pretty grainy… whereas most of your posts don’t look like this. Was there something different about this shot (e.g. underexposed)?
Also I agree with Brandon’s comments - it is another interesting photo.
This was HP5 shot at 800 and processed in Diafine, which probably accounts for the grain and the increased noise in the shadows. I find HP to be pretty grainy anyway, so pushing it and going for the grain seems to work better for me.
Glad you like the photo. It’s funny how interesting something so simple can be.
