One film, one process, one camera, one lens, until I learn something.

I’ve recently started on the same sort of thing, delta 400@500, ddx, m6, 2/50 hexanon. It’s nice not to have to think about what camera, lens, film or developer, just grab it and go find something to shoot.

Thanks for all the great posts the last few months, I used the choosing a b&w film article and your 27 step guide to develop my first roll a couple of months ago!

    Keep it up!

There’s that, and sometimes it’s good to quit mucking around, changing multiple variables at once. I’m going to spend some time improving my scanning and post processing skills, so I thought I’d keep the rest of the chain simple for a while.

I think you will like delta. It’s a great film.

Hi Matt, this combo is really looking very, very good. There are so many variables involved because of scanning and web-presentation that it may not me a meaningful comment with regard to the actual negative… That said, I have followed your blog for quite a while and I think these picures do stand out tonally. Especially the first one, beautiful light too, of course. Greetings, Hannes

Hannes, I’m glad you like them, and thanks for the kind words.

Amen! I have just begun a similar quest. I have settled on a camera, a lens and film(ok I still bounce around a bit on the film…) I am trying to make it about “seeing”, and not gear choice.
