    Matt,

I think your photo looks much better than this one:

and it is probably because instead of a great looking girl hugging me, I’m being spied on by a passer by :-(

I have to confess, I gave in after about 10 months of insisting with the labs, and I bought the developing tanks and all the rest of the stuff to start developing my film at home - I will make a test this weekend… Do you have any good tips as a seasoned practitioner ? I got a bottle of Rollei RHS developer and one of Rodinal Special (it is not the same as Rodinal), as they were recommended respectively as a good developer for 400 ISO films, and for AGFA Scala,of which I have still about 25 rolls left… You have written many nice articles on developing, but I don’t know where to look for the ones for dummies ;-)
    Ciao
    Marek

Bob, it’s the bookcase in the guest bedroom of Kate’s parent’s house, but I’m pretty sure there’s a copy of A Sand County Almanac, a book on Tai Chi, and an old copy of Ansel Adam’s The Negative.

Marek, I’ve not used either of those developers, so I’d just start with whatever times the manufacturer recommends. Ilford publishes a great PDF called Processing Your First Black and White Film. They also have couple of PDFs on push and pull processing. And then there is my own 27 step guide to developing B&W, Developing B&W Notes for Kate.

Email me if you have any questions.
